My first published academic work
The essay, “Arts Reporting and the Gradation of Abstraction,” which I initially wrote for a journalism course on general semantics, was a freelance work published in the April 2008 edition of ETC: A Review of General Semantics.
ETC is a journal published by the Institute of General Semantics, an organization that encourages the use of scientific means to explore language and other communication forms as they relate to human behavior. The content of the journal extends the institute’s mission by publishing articles about language, symbols and thought that are central to the study of general semantics.
ETC publishes material by contributors from diverse backgrounds who meet specific submission requirements set forth on the journal’s website.
